When you are not aware of it, it happens. It overwhelms you. Searching for it is pointless. It finds you!

An interview with Maria Quesada by journalist Niels Brummelman for Paravisie.

At its heart is the life-changing encounter. The reunion. An event that turns everything upside down. "Don't call it romantic love, but unconditional love," says Maria.

"It happens just at a time when you think you have your life in order, at least it was that way with me. My breathing switched from an automatic process to conscious breathing to handle the energy released in body and mind. Everything was right energetically, but my mind could not grasp it. I only knew that I was deeply, very deeply connected. Gradually, it also became clear that it was at least a connection that shook all my norms, values and certainties to their foundations. You are never the same as you were before meeting your twin soul. All hidden aspects of yourself come to light and are magnified. Only living in truth is still possible and you get a very clear sense of what still needs to be balanced. Love is overwhelming and close at hand. At the same time it cannot be framed in any form. Your heart is invited to love unconditionally and become acquainted with your own capacity for love."

It sounds great, of course. But what exactly is a twin soul? And why does this person trigger so many ecstatic feelings in us? Maria describes this as follows:

"There is a shock of recognition. They are the ultimate matching parts of one soul, the masculine and feminine. together they enter into a sacred marriage. This does not mean, however, that they are necessarily male and female. The energetic level transcends such earthly, material differences."

Searching for your twin soul makes no sense at all. It happens at a time when both are ready for it and something like this cannot be forced.

Maria: "It's crazy, but at a soul-level appointed time, especially during transitional phases of the world, it happens. it's not a recognition from the mental level, it's an all-transcending recognition, especially energetically, and you can't resist it. Physically, all channels seem to open up. This expresses itself through light sensations in all your chakras.”

Even if you are not at home in the spiritual world and have no interest in issues of meaning, meeting your twin soul is possible. The shock of recognition, the realisation that reunion is predestined and inevitable, is intense. It can turn your whole life upside down and also bring sadness, because maybe you are married. have children or there are other circumstances that make you feel not "free" to respond to magnetic attraction.

Being together with your twin soul is extremely beautiful and extremely confronting. Old hurts come to the surface and the emotional life of one person flows over into that of the other.

Maria: "Sometimes it is impossible to distinguish whether what you are experiencing is from yourself or from the other person. I regularly felt despair, anger, sadness and that exhausted me immensely. You are in fact an open book for each other, without even having to speak a word. You have direct access to the other, beyond physical boundaries. Whatever your personal situation, whatever you choose and whatever pain pieces have presented themselves: you can never let go of your twin soul. Only cherish them forever!"

It seems like an open door when natural violence is sweeping around us and entire peoples are rebelling against political systems, but we are living in transformative times. That twin souls are meeting just now is no surprise to Maria. According to her, it points to a transpersonal motive:

"It is remarkable that especially at times of great changes and shifts, twin soul pairs meet. Twin souls are actually energy gateways incarnating on earth to stimulate the progress of the greater whole. They provide the impetus to switch on a heart level to support evolution. The function of the twin soul is linked to the cycles of the earth. Incarnation occurs o the moment a major shift in consciousness occurs. The twin soul brings energy to the earth to facilitate these periods of ascension. So with must come to unconditional love itself and put that love at the service of all. It is a sacred marriage on a soul level. together they form energy gateways to the greater whole and bring about the progress of the earth by raising the vibrational level in consciousness and thus shifting to the heart frequency."
